Beauty of Mountains…

October 1, 2008

Last year we went for a tracking to western catchment hills… I enjoyed the trip… We were climbing with the great difficulty and reached on the top of the mountain… we were so tired by then… just lay down and saw the sky…
awesome… its was really beautiful with blue sky and here and there clouds… and chilled wind….

it was bit sunny… suddenly we were feeling so cold… the clouds were coming toward us, I mean towards the mountain… in few minutes we have surrounded by chilled clouds and couldnt see anything… after few minz the clouds went off… it was a nice feeling that we had…. that was very nice trip…

Just take a look at the picture….

Awesome view from the top of the mountain...

Pollution

October 1, 2008
tags:

It’s too much out here…
Populations had been increased incredibly and increasing everyday out here… Vehicles also been increased… Eventually noise and nature pollution has been increasing…
One of the main reasons is lots of IT guys are moving out here…

The main reason is that, IT companies are increasing one way or another… Really good part, but because of this adding population and other things… We cannot stop increasing neither IT companies nor populations…

But we can grow trees…

“Garden City”, now is the pollution city… at least grow trees and help to reduce the pollution out here…

mode_rewrite setup

mod_rewrite setup for rewrite engines

The mod_rewrite for rewrite engine can be enabled using a single command on Apache 2. Assuming you are running apache 2 it can be enabled by running the command
a2enmod rewrite
– Get the list of configured/enabled modules of the web server and check for “rewrite_module”.
Use the below command to get the list of enabled modules:
apache2ctl -M
If the module name is not found in the list, check the file “rewrite.load” in apache2 mods-available location.
The file should contain LoadModule rewrite_module modules/mod_rewrite.so.
If you find the file, then you have to enable/load the module by creating the soft link to the in “/etc/apache2/mods-enabled/”.
Also create a soft link of “/etc/apache2/mods-available/rewrite.conf” in “/etc/apache2/mods-enabled/”. Then restart the apache server and execute the command to list the enabled modules.

After enabling the module, there are two ways to enable the rewrite rules engines for a domain.

a. Add the following snippet in the httpd conf file
<Directory /var/www/example.com>
RewriteEngine on
RewriteBase /
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?q=$1 [L,QSA]
<\Directory>
b. If you dont want to add the above snippet in the apache conf file, you may create a .htaccess file in the document root of your website. And place the above snippet. Also add the below lines in virtual host section of the httpd conf file.
AccessFileName .htaccess
<Directory /var/www/>
AllowOverride All
</Directory>
Then modify the .htaccess file based on your requirments.
If your site is running under virtual host like “mysite.com” then
RewriteBase /
If your site located in a subdirectory at “mysite.com/site1”
RewriteBase /site1
Finally restart the apache web server, everything should work fine.
OR run ‘/etc/init.d/apache2 reload’ to activate new configuration!

apache virtual hosts

Configure virtual hosts

Common ways to setup the virtual hosts are:-
* Name based
* IP based

Name based
Name based virtual hosting is simpler, for which you need to configure your DNS server to map each hostname to the correct IP address and then configure the HTTP server to recognize the hostnames. For example:

# Ensure that Apache listens on port 80
Listen 80

# Listen for virtual host requests on all IP addresses
NameVirtualHost *:80

<VirtualHost *:80>
DocumentRoot /var/www/mysite1
ServerName www.mysite1.com
# Other directives here
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost *:80>
DocumentRoot /var/www/mysite2
ServerName www.mysite2.org
# Other directives here
</VirtualHost>

If you are testing the virual hosting on your local system, you have to add the relevant hostname in “/etc/hosts” file.

IP Based
For example:-
# Listen for virtual host requests on all IP addresses
NameVirtualHost 192.168.1.1:80

<VirtualHost 192.168.1.1:80>
DocumentRoot /var/www/mysite1
ServerName www.mysite1.com
# Other directives here
</VirtualHost>

<VirtualHost 192.168.1.1:80>
DocumentRoot /var/www/mysite2
ServerName www.mysite2.org
# Other directives here
</VirtualHost>

Mounting

mount -t nfs [-o options] jmohr:/usr/man /usr/man SSHFS is very simple to use. The command is
$ sshfs user@host: mountpoint
To unmount
fusermount -u mountpoint
Using Samba
% mount -t smbfs //hostname/share ./account -o username=username,password=password
Mounting a windows share
sudo mount -t cifs -o username=administrator,password=admin //192.168.1.1/C$ c/

Dieting is very important in everyone’s life in their busy life… in today’s modern world people are engaged in many things and they are not concentrating on their health, most of them. Often skipping food, having fast food items and improper balance of food items. This spoils health the digestion system and prone to many diseases. Especially the person whoz working in software companies, BPO call-centers they are not at all worrying about taking food on time. Have to avoid taking fast food items most of the time and need to drink lot of water and fresh fruit juice instead of taking carbonated beverage. What I feel is everyone may try to follow the dieting and taking food on time, drinking lot of water and having at least one fruit daily. Am trying to follow this 🙂
